Def Leppard takes aim for New Orleans on Aug. 20
Def Leppard is out on the road already, but the addition of one date puts the English rockers in New Orleans at the Smoothie King Center on Aug. 20. Tickets for the show on sale now.
REO Speedwagon and Tesla are set to open the show, according to a press release.
Def Leppard tends to stop in New Orleans fairly frequently, but the last time the band intended to make a stop, the date was postponed with singer Joe Elliott's father died.
Now, the long-running, influential pop-metal band is touring behind its most recent release, a self-titled album that dropped last fall. It was the first project they'd released in nearly eight years, but the band's tour behind it started out a little bumpy: They had to postpone the first month because Elliott's throat issues, which reportedly included laryngitis.
