Joe Elliott vs. Rod Stewart: March Mullet Madness
Def Leppard‘s Joe Elliott and Rod Stewart are battling for a spot in the finals of our March Mullet Madness competition, and your votes will determine which of them gets to join the ultimate fight for this highly prestigious honor.
We’ve lined up some of history’s most spectacular mullets and paired them off against each other for a series of tonsorial battles. The field is being halved every week based on your votes, until only the greatest “business up front, party in the back” hairdo in rock ‘n’ roll history is left standing.
Elliott earned his spot in the semifinals by easily defeating Spinal Tap’s Nigel Tufnel in round one and then narrowly squeaking by Steve Perry of Journey in round two. Conversely, Stewart barely edged out Rush bassist Geddy Lee in round one, then laid waste to U2 frontman Bono in round two.
